Reader, I’m delighted to share with you the news that Tales of the Genii is now available to purchase.
The beautiful little red book pays homage to the Brontë siblings’ famous tiny books featuring stories set in their fantasy worlds of Glass Town, Angria, and Gondal. Best described as a companion piece to the stories and poems by the Brontës, the volume features the gorgeous illustrations of writer/artist, Christina Rauh Fishburne. I had the honour and privilege to select the passages to accompany them, taken from the Brontë juvenilia.

Inspirited by the immense beauty of classic books of the past, The Crow Emporium Press has launched a series of illustrated classic novels and collected works.
‘Tales from the Genii’ features excerpts from the imaginary worlds of Glass Town, Angria, and Gondal by Charlotte, Branwell, Emily and Anne Brontë. This edition features paintings by artist and writer Christina Rauh Fishburne in which she has reimagined the tales, heroes and heroines of Brontë Juvenilia.
Nicola Friar author of the Bronte Babe Blog has edited this stunning collection of Juvenilia poetry and legends, to bring to life the words and paintings which leap from the very minds of the Brontë children, as they fought great battles, travelled soaring seas, and fell in and out of love in the furiously scribbled adventures created in the small rooms of their Parsonage home in Haworth.
A beautiful collection of edited works from the Brontë siblings, and delightfully reawakened in this little book of Brontë Juvenilia.

A lover of life, the Brontës, and Haworth who knows that I’m just going to write because I can’t help it.
Thanks for reading. I’d love it if you stopped by The Journal of Juvenilia Studies where you can read my essay, “Autobiography, Wish-Fulfilment, and Juvenilia. The ‘Fractured Self’ in Charlotte Brontë’s Paracosmic Counterworld”.
